Ana B'koakh G’dulat Y’min’cha Tatir Tz’rurah
We implore You, with the might; of the greatness of your right hand; release the burden.
The Ana B'koach prayer was written in the first century by a great kabalistic Rabbi - Rabbi Nehonia. The prayer was written according to the seventy two names of God - a term related to Abraham. The Ana Becoach is composed of seven lines, with six words in each line. The first letter of every word is taken, thereby creating the 42-letter name.
The combination of Ana Bekoach is hidden in the first 42 letters of the book of Genesis (From the word BERESHIT to the word VAVOHOO). The letters are translated using a secret kabalistic calculation.
The Ana B'koach prayer can be found in the Shaharit and Mincha prayers, and in the Shabbat prayer before Lecha Dodi. Today, Ana Bekoach is somewhat ignored, and in many prayers it is no longer used. The Ana Bekoach prayer is greatly evaluated by spiritual and kabalistic followers that know of the great influence found in this 42-letter combination.
This verse is connected to the Sefira (sphere) of Chesed (Kabbalah), one of the 7 lower sefirot. Chesed is a level of energy focused on grace, on giving. The initials of this verse are "ABG YTTz". The numerological value of these letters is equal to the words Ahavat Khinam – love for love’s sake.
This verse enfolds all the other verses, and connects us most strongly to the tree of life, to the reality of our universe before any kind of marring occurred, before Adam erred and before any existent state shattered.
Kabbalists use the Ana Bekoach prayer for protection, healing and balancing.
