The eye in this pendant is a known Egyptian symbol called the eye of Horus. The eye of Horus was used as a symbol of protection and health.
The six parts that compose the eye of Horus shape, forms six different mathematical fractures: ½, ¼, 1/8, 1/16 1/32, 1/64. Each fracture represented the sense with which we experience the reality. If we join the fractures together, we will find that we get close to 1 but never reach it. This is because according to the Egyptian belief the soul reaches its perfection only in the next world.
The eye of Horus symbol also represents G-d within everything. The triangle around the eye of Horus is a symbol of creation. The composition of the eye of Horus inside the triangle represents the cosmic unity that cannot be grasped with our six senses but exist in all nature.
It is interesting to see that in the Hebrew the word SHALOM (meaning peace) comes from the word SHALEM (whole). The extra character that changed the word SHALEM to SHALOM is the letter VAV with a numeric value of 6!
