This “Warm Home” project which we have named The 18+ Project was initiated by us as a direct result of the tragic story of a young veteran soldier - an "Ahava" graduate - who felt adrift in life after being demobilized from the IDF. He mistakenly felt that he was alone in the world, with nowhere to turn to, and he came to a tragic end.

"Ahava" immediately decided to establish an interim home for those young adults so that they may never again come to such a terrible decision. The 18+ Project is managed by "Ahava" staff members, and it offers several independent apartments to youngsters until they get their bearings and find their own way in life after graduation from "Ahava", and also during and immediately following their compulsory military service in the IDF.
