The Emergency Center for the Northern Region of Israel was taken over by "Ahava" only last year. The old existing building is eminently unsuitable for its use, and it has become imperative that these unfortunate children be transferred from there to a more accommodating environment.
The Emergency Center is used by the national Welfare Authorities when the courts order an immediate evacuation of a young child from its home, due to critical conditions and such severe abuse that actually endanger the lives and wellbeing of these children. The kids are placed in the Emergency Center, and eventually they are placed in therapeutic accommodation facilities, such as "Ahava", for prolonged durations. However, it is the abrupt transfer from home to the Emergency Center and the initial time there which is the most traumatic for these children, and the quality of life in the Emergency Center is crucial to the emotional state of the displaced child.Hello, client
