As a youth, a painting of his won first prize in an amateur painters contest. This achievement encouraged Ish to continue and develop his skill.
Ish has exhibited in individual and group exhibitions as a member of the Israeli Union of Painters and Sculptors.
Erotic motifs are prevalent in many of Ish's creations, particularly women and nudity. Anti-war messages are common as well. His creations are colorful, with a loose and free flowing line.
